About Me, Extended Edition
I was born under lucky stars as Jupiter, the planet of expansion, danced in the heart of the Sun… This planetary combination has sparked a lifelong passion for creativity and the pursuit of knowledge. However, I have 5 retrograde planets that keep me humble, grounded, and, at times, alien to the world around me. I’ve always sought guidance from a multitude of sources, and believed there are many wells of wisdom to sip from. After all, we're always evolving, and so should the systems we use.
I grew up surrounded by more nature than people, so the Earth became my first guide. I observed the interconnections of life, while witnessing the designs of nature within and without. To this day, the Earth is my greatest guide and muse; honoring, protecting, and loving our planetary home guides my work.
Movement is medicine, and with Pluto in my 1st House, I was drawn to good medicine at an early age. I dove into yoga while I was still in high school, and felt both challenged and welcomed by it. I’ve always loved ‘rabbit hole studies’ where there’s always more to learn and various schools of thought to explore.
Yoga increased my connection to spirit and other healing modalities, namely astrology, tarot, and breathwork. All of these practices and methods have helped me strengthen my intuition, as I discovered the spirit has endless layers, and at the core of these practices, I felt the resonance of the Universe that it deeply loves all of us. Through tarot and other forms of card reading, I increased my clairvoyance, as I found archetypal patterns within myself and the world around me. Pattern recognition has guided my personal transformations, over and over again… To become something new, we must shed our old patterns.
Astrology isn’t just a practice or language of the cosmos to me - it has become a lens through which I see the world. It makes sense out of the madness of modern life, even as it pushes us to remember that our true nature is being part of nature. Astrology unlocks stories we’ve packed away in our bodies and minds. It offers us a handbook of instructions specific to our cosmic signature, even as it is a guide that shows us spirit aligned opportunities. The more I work with astrology, the more I marvel at the world around me; nature is truly magic and astrology knows that we are nature.
Following what felt like the threads of destiny, I moved from my beloved Northeast home to to what is now my beloved home in Hawai‘i. In Hawai‘i, my natal Moon rests on my IC (the place of all that nourishes the spirit); it is here that I found a new sense of home, belonging, and inspiration for my studies. I would get my Master’s in Sustainable Development, where we explored the complications of loving and caring for each other, and the planet, in a capitalistic world. These studies became the backbone that supported a nervous system hardwired to care for the Earth.
The institutions, groups, and organizations I’ve been part of have nurtured me, even as I’ve had the opportunity to support them; they’ve allowed me to have countless roles in my community. I am grateful for the multitude of teachers, mentors, spaces, and guides that have entered my life; they will all have lifelong impacts and are frankly innumerable.
Thank you.
In the spirit of Venus in Libra: I am nothing without my community; life feels meaningless without connection. I am so grateful our paths have crossed.
I plan on keeping this space updated with writing on astrology, tarot, yoga, and sustainability, so stay tuned!
